20 things that happened in 2020

Well, 2020 has drawn to a close and the final few months of the year felt like they flew by. We are eternally grateful that we were able to work a full year with a full team despite the circumstances.

Looking back on 2020 we have compiled 20 things we accomplished in the year

3 new team members

We welcomed Kirsten as our office manager in February… Fabulous timing when the office closed in March but even from home, she’s an asset to our team.
We welcomed our new marketing manager, Claudia in August, just in time for our office reopening.
David joined us in November as part of the Ruby team. We had to find a way to introduce him to the team so Dave and Adam kindly had pizza sent to everyone’s home and we had a successful virtual games night.

3 awards

We were delighted to receive two wins at the Creative Bath Awards. We were recognised for Best Digital Design for our work with Brevio and Dave was named Entrepreneur of The Year.

Our digital design was also reaffirmed at the SPARKIES where we took the same title again for our work with Brevio. Awards like these are an amazing way to commemorate the team’s hard work.

12 exciting projects

We took on a number of clients in 2020 as well as working on new projects for our existing clients. Our team have been building technical solutions for a variety of sectors. We tackled the wedding industry with a new website and app for Getting Married, through to a new website for Brevio, providing a matchmaking service for grants/ funding and charities.

2 office closures

In true 2020 spirit we couldn’t not mention something Covid-19 related. Kirsten took on her role of office manager beautifully and turned our office into a garden center for the re-opening in August. Sadly we closed our doors again on 23rd September but Kirsten is still nurturing our plants. We are fortunate to have a team that is tech competent and with flexi working already in place, we were equipped to work well at home.

2021

Looking at the months ahead, we have some exciting projects in the pipeline. We’ve got some awesome new partnerships coming to fruition and we will be announcing our Charity of The Year soon. So whilst 2021 has been off to a wobbly start with lockdown 3.0, we are excited to see what opportunities arise from a time where adapting and innovating is prevalent to so many businesses.

Our door is always open if you want to chat or discuss your business ideas. On behalf of the Storm team, we wish you a very happy and healthy 2021.
