We’ve added a new member to the Storm family! We’re excited to welcome Kirsten, who has joined us as our Office Assistant.
Kirsten will be helping us out around the office, welcoming and looking after our clients, assisting Alice (our Project & Ops Manager) with administration, keeping us all in line, and generally making each day run smoothly!
Kirsten has had a varied career so far working in both the publishing and giftware industries as well as being a freelance photographer. For the past few years she has been creating mock-up prototypes of products for sales teams to take to pitches and trade shows. Before that she worked front of house for an e-commerce company helping around the office and looking after clients.
In true Storm fashion, we got to know her better with a few quick questions:
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
Kirsten: Outside of work you will generally find me in my polytunnel and my veg garden. I am hoping to also get a small allotment plot this year so I can become as self-sufficient as I can. As well as gardening, I am a keen photographer and have photographed quite a few weddings plus I’ve had some food photography published.
Most exciting or unusual thing you’ve ever done?
Kirsten: To be honest I’m a fairly unexciting person, you’ll normally find me in the garden with a cup of earl grey rather than jumping out of planes! :)
If you could visit anywhere in the word, where would you go?
Kirsten: I spent 3 months travelling around New Zealand in a camper van and I would love to go back one day – it’s an absolutely beautiful country! But I’ve also always wanted to go to India and Japan, so fingers crossed I can tick those off of my bucket list one day.
What are you most looking forward to working at Storm?
Kirsten: I am most looking forward to getting to know everyone in the company, I have been freelance for a couple of years now so it will be nice to be back as part of a team. I am also looking forward to having a good sort out of all the cupboards and keeping the plants alive!
Well we can certainly already see the effects of Kirsten’s expert green fingers – our plants have never looked happier!
Welcome to the team Kirsten, it’s great to have you with us.
