We are delighted to announce our new team member, Dan!
Dan is joining us as our maternity cover, Head of Projects and we’re looking forward to having him as part of the Storm team.
Dan’s digital career started in London for Elsevier Science, the world’s largest scientific publisher, initially in media sales before moving into a project strategy/ development role. Since moving to the South West, Dan spent a number of years working for our friends at MediaClash. He then set his sights on our neighbouring city and has worked for two digital agencies based in Bristol, looking after the likes of Aon, Business West, UCAS and Visit Wales.
It’s not a welcome blog post without a few Q&A’s. Everyone, meet Dan:
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
Dan: Away from work, my life revolves around family and food. Apart from cooking, foraging, baking, butchery and eating, what’s left of my time is spent, reading, dog-walking and bemoaning the fate of Everton FC.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Dan: The terrace of Bar de la Plage, on the dune above the beach at Messanges, in Les Landes, southwest France. Preferably at sunset, with my wife and kids, watching the surfers and eating grilled prawns. Glass of good rosé compulsory, of course!
What is the most exciting or unusual thing you’ve ever done?
Dan: Not sure if turning a whole pig into chorizo, salami, ham, bacon, sausages, roasting joints and paté is anyone else’s idea of exciting but I guess it’s fairly unusual?
What are you most looking forward to by working at Storm?
Dan: Well, it’s early days but I’m really encouraged by how welcoming and lovely everyone seems. My one concern is standing-in for Alice: she’s leaving me some big boots to fill!
Welcome Dan! We look forward to working with you over the next 12 months.
