We have a new Storm-trooper! We’re pleased to welcome our latest addition to the team, Dylan.
Dylan is joining us after recently graduating from the University of the West of England (UWE), where he studied Computer Science. He will be working alongside our Ruby on Rails team as a Developer, helping to build innovative new projects for our clients.
Dylan is an impressive young fellow who, at last count, can programme in around 15 different languages, learning new ones on a regular basis just for fun!
Following Storm tradition, we asked Dylan to tell us a few things about himself, so we can get to know him better:
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Dylan: I’m a typical dev at heart and enjoy building computers, learning new programming languages and, of course, playing video games. I also enjoy reading classic literature (my favourite book being Time Machine by H.G. Wells) and am currently learning Japanese! I look forward to trying out conversations with Tom, who I hear is also learning Japanese.
What is the most exciting or unusual thing you have ever done?
Dylan: Umm I’ve ridden an elephant before, if that counts? Probably quite unusual! I actually spent 10 years of my childhood living in South Africa too.
If you could visit anywhere in the world where would it be?
Dylan: I’d love to explore Asia, such as Hong Kong and Shanghai – and Tokyo unsurprisingly!
What are you most looking forward to during your time at Storm?
Dylan: I think I’m most looking forward to learning Ruby (yes yet another language to add to the collection!) and working with the team on their wide variety of projects. They’ve built some incredible technology so far and I’m going to enjoy being fully involved. Storm seems like a great place to work, with some fantastic people and clients, and I can’t wait to get stuck in.
Welcome to the team, Dylan! We’re all looking forward to working with you.
