We are delighted to introduce you to the latest addition to Storm, Adam Hazell!
Adam is joining our Ruby team as a Developer.
Adam recently graduated from Bath University with a Computer Science and Maths degree. He wrote his dissertation on Probabilistic Automata (a simplified computer that can understand probability). During his time at Bath University, he also spent a year on placement at a scientific consultancy where he worked on traffic flow modelling and unit testing for maths libraries.
In a true Storm welcoming spirit, we had to ask Adam our favourite questions.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
Over lockdown I took up running to force myself out of the house and ended up really enjoying it. I also enjoy cooking, and watching my way through a long and constantly growing list of films- without bragging too much, I can also be quite an asset to a pub quiz team.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If price was no object I’d go to the national parks in Canada, or maybe even the North Pole. Can you tell I’m not a fan of hot weather!
What is the most exciting or unusual thing you’ve ever done?
Exciting for me is live music, now that things are back on track you’ll regularly find me at Moles up the road. As far as unusual goes: I was once runner-up in the world elver eating competition. (Trigger warning if you Google what that is – It’s pretty gross).
What are you most looking forward to by working at Storm?
I’m mostly excited to start working with everyone on the team, they’re all so friendly and knowledgeable! I’m also looking forward to learning and developing my skills a lot more, and working on the large variety of projects in place at Storm.
Welcome to the team Adam!
