In 2022 The University of Bath announced its launch of The President’s Award.
The President’s Award is intended to honour individuals who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the University, the city of Bath or region in ways other than those recognised by honorary degrees and in a manner which reflects the Universities objectives as defined in their Royal Charter.
We are delighted to announce that David is a recipient of this award!
Over the years, David’s contribution to the local community has been second to none. Playing an integral part in the Bath and SouthWest tech community, co-founding Bath Digital Festival and the SPARKies to name a couple. He encourage like-minded businesses to swap out keyboards for spades to plant a 10 acre forest. David also sits on the board of governors at a local school as well as giving back to the place where his love for Bath came about – The University. He’s supported the institution’s upcoming entrepreneurs by being a mentor and he has chaired the University Business Plan Competition. This is only a short list of his accomplishments and commitments outside of creating a successful business.
With this in mind, we can’t say we’re surprised that he’s been recognised in such a way. We’re so proud of him and look forward to celebrating this milestone.
