Welcome back to another blog post where we get to boast about the cool projects we’re working on. In this post we would like to introduce you to Yuup.
Launched in Bristol in 2020, Yuup is a platform for finding and booking local experiences. From foraging to beekeeping, wine tasting to paddleboarding, you’ll find endless things to do right on your doorstep or in a new place you’d like to explore. In one year, Yuup’s team have built a great marketplace, curating over 450 things to do in Bristol and its surrounding areas, overseen the delivery of 17,500 experiences and built a consumer community of 22,000 people.
In Bristol, Yuup has proved product market fit with clear consumer and host demand. Yuup so far have developed their own technology and built a core team, which has enabled them to scale.
The team works with independent businesses and vendors to find the perfect experiences for you to enjoy. So you can experience something new whilst supporting those who need it most. In just 11 months, Yuup put £400,000 into the hands of Bristol businesses.
Looking to the future, the Yuup team have identified 13 UK metropolitan areas where they can offer experiences to over 30 million people. Over the next 18 months they will focus on continuing to grow in Bristol and launch in three more cities across the UK.
“In Storm we’ve found the perfect strategic partner to support us as we embark on the next exciting stage of our journey to scale Yuup. Storm’s track record working with high-growth startups to scale and optimise digital products makes them an excellent fit with Yuup. Throughout our early discussions I was impressed with their understanding of what it takes to scale a business like ours, but equally by their passion to support our mission to make a positive social impact”.
