New microsite sees increase in MSc applications for University of Bath

The School of Management at the University of Bath worked with Storm last year to create a new microsite for their MSc courses – with some great results!

As one of the world’s best business schools, the School of Management at UoB offers a range of Masters courses covering all areas of business, management and finance. Graduates from the School leave with excellent career prospects and practical business experience. The Marketing and Web team required a new website that would reflect that.

A new easy-to-use microsite

It was decided that a dedicated microsite should be built due to the significant expansion of their MSc course portfolio, and the current website just couldn’t keep up. Requiring a complete overhaul of their content and navigation, the microsite needed to be mobile responsive and easy to use.

With this in mind, Storm created a clean and more modern design, with a simple navigation so that visitors can easily find their desired content. Focussing on the important information such as the course portfolio, benefits students will receive and, of course, the beautiful city of Bath, the microsite has been a great success since its launch.

Huge increase in visitors and MSc applications

When comparing the old website with the microsite, the Marketing and Web team discovered the following results (Dec 16–Aug 17):

  • 48% increase in users exploring our MSc courses (nearly 22,000 user increase)
  • Significantly improved user experience
  • More than quadrupled page views (per page)
  • 8% rise in mobile users (compared to 3% across entire University over same period)

They also saw a significant increase in MSc applications, leading to a very healthy student enrolment in September!

Why did the School of Management choose to work with Storm?
