We help tens of thousands of Yuup users to explore and book experiences local to them. Alongside the tech platform build, this partnership sees Storm dive into user journey refinement and on-the-street user testing.
We worked closely with both Yuup and their audience across multiple cities to create and refine a platform to help people follow passions, create memories, discover things that make life awesome and turn dreams into actual income.

Ask the audience
What use is a highly complex tech platform which isn’t in tune with its users? Well, whilst we love building robust and scalable platforms we equally love making sure that users get every drop out of their experience. Before every tech milestone we created live testing sessions with self confessed Yuup obsessives, new members and people who have yet to experience Yuup who gave us a fresh pair of eyes. Together we explored everything from public brand perception, browsing and booking usability, future goals and so much more. Gathering this feedback gave us a wealth of invaluable information to work from.
Refining the experience
After accessing all the vital feedback from our live user testing we made plans on how can we best improve the Yuup experience in the most efficient way. We made highly sought after updates to the guest checkout, experience gifting, calendars, booking and improvements to the experience pages with a focus on reviews, prices and other key information. We also took time to optimise the current brand and styles by looking at everything from accessibility and colour, font ratios, sizing, spacing and imagery treatment creating a more consistent design that will support any future plans for the platform.
With our foundations laid we got to work on creating an improved search function and new exciting ways to explore Yuup’s ever growing library of curated experiences and local stories. By creating experience ‘missions’ this allows the user to quickly find an experience to meet their precise needs. Looking for a birthday, hen do or a first date? No problem. Creating experience ‘collections’ helps those who need to explore a theme, a budget or even get a little seasonal inspiration. Having all of the user feedback to hand we made this work seamlessly with Yuup’s multi-city growth plans.
Yuup’s passion to work alongside their audience to create a platform that really works for them and brings so much joy has been inspiring to say the least! It’s been amazing to see the growth they’ve had since launching the updates across their cities and we cant wait to work with them on the next phase of exciting updates to the platform.
