Meet Patternbank – The global marketplace for textile design

By Dan Catton

At Storm we have the privilege of working with some amazing innovators and fascinating companies. We’d like to introduce you to one of our latest projects, Patternbank.

What is Patternbank?

Patternbank is a revolutionary global marketplace for textile design, bringing together businesses and the world’s leading creatives. At the forefront of this ever-evolving industry, Patternbank is revolutionising the way textile design and surface patterns are bought and sold – and how customers can access them. Browse, buy and sell 24-hours a day, 365 days a year – wherever you are in the world.

Patternbank have combined years of experience with their extensive knowledge of the textile, trend-forecasting and technology industries to become the go-to virtual textile-studio platform. Founded by a group of passionate industry insiders with the aim of empowering designers and making pattern purchasing easier than ever.

Since 2012 they’ve been connecting the globe’s most talented designers with customers from the worlds of fashion, homeware, stationery and gifts. This unique B2B marketplace offers a streamlined service, where customers can discover curated designs, obtain trend inspiration to guide buying decisions, instantly purchase and directly download digital files.

Why Storm?

We chose to work with Storm as our then current developers who were based in Bristol ceased all development work. This was less than ideal, but fortunately they recommended Storm as an agency that had the same skill sets and worked in a similar way.

We went and met up with Storm in lovely Bath and were impressed with their professionalism, energy, ideas and past work. We chose to work with Storm and the handover was seamless and the levels of transparency and organisation were excellent.  We’re looking forward to seeing what creative solutions they come up with and am sure they will become an integral part of Patternbank’s future.

We’re excited to be working with the Patternbank team, helping them maintain and further develop their existing site as their business grows.
