As part of the Bath Digital Festival, the Executive Foundation is hosting an exclusive evening dinner, with a fantastic guest speaker, at Bailbrook House on Wednesday 18th October. As sponsors of the evening, Storm are offering 10 lucky BDF wristband holders the chance to win tickets to attend this popular event.
The guest speaker for the dinner is world renowned businessman, Jørn Lyseggen, CEO of Meltwater and author of ‘Outside Insight: Navigating a World Drowning in Data’.
Executive Foundation Dinner – Outside Insight
During the evening, Lyseggen will be explaining how the Internet has changed the way we make decisions, yet the way executives make decisions hasn’t changed at all! Board members focus on internal data when everyday competitors are leaving behind online breadcrumbs filled with valuable external data. From job adverts, filing a new patent, launching a new product, social media and more. Using insights gleaned from this data will help companies to look ahead and make more informed decisions.
Jørn Lyseggen is a Norwegian entrepreneur and philanthropist. He founded Meltwater in Oslo, Norway in 2001 with an investment of just $15,000. Meltwater is now a global leader in B2B online media intelligence, with over 55 offices across six continents. He founded the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), a training program, seed fund and incubator for African entrepreneurs, in 2008, and launched Shack15, a data science hub in London, in 2016. Jørn has been featured on CNN, TechCrunch, TedX and more.
